So for those others who read this, sorry I haven't been updating lately. You've missed some great stories. In fact, Brigid and Mel were a part of some of those interesting stories...but I think we'll keep that amongst dictators.
Update
- Midsummer Night's Dream went spectacularly well and I am eager to continue working in professional theater. (Wow, doesn't that sounds pretentious?)
- I had my typical I'm-not-good-enough-why-do-I-even-try ShowMeltdown (the same that drove Louise crazy during The Importance of Being Earnest) however, Terry, our director complimented me so eloquently on my stage presence that it gave my the reassurance I needed to continue acting.
- Dan (a.k.a. D.Hee) gave me one of the most flattering compliments I have ever received about my looks. Rather than saying "You're hot" as one gentleman did after the show, Dan who played Snug the Joiner said that I am beautiful and that I'm someone an artist would want to paint. After swinging back and forth from fearing I was too plain and gawky for stage to hating all the compliments, that was really soothing.
- Brian (a.k.a. Mr. Smith) who played Robin Starvling is jokingly trying to get me to sacrifice a semester of school to play opposite him in Arsnic and Old Lace which is tempting mainly because I've wanted to play Elaine for years and Brian and I play well together. Don't worry, my higher education is worth more to me than a part in community theater.
- And after all the theatrical hoopla I'm back at Little Sisters to be yelled at in Romanian by Iosef (poor guy doesn't speak English, so I don't mind as long as he's talking)
- And finally my toe still hurts like heel as well as both my ankles. Here's to sacrificing for the stage.
Alrighty, I think that's enough blogging for one night. I will close with a few quotes.
"And the mind of the thoroughly well-informed man is a dreadful thing. It is like a bric-a-brac shop, all monsters and dust, with everything priced above its proper value." -The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde
-"May sleep give you all his rest!"-"And with that wish the wisher's eyes be pressed!" - A Midsummer Night's Dream

Glad to hear you survived it all! We still need to do something before the summer's over...
Slobbie, we haven't heard from you in a while, what happened? Brigid and I are in need of the Will Farrell to our Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. And plus, there's only a couple weeks left until the start of the semester! Ahhhh!
