A Dream Within a Dream

For the few and much-loved people who read my blogger, I am very sorry for my shammy updating of late...um, all summer (especially after my co-dictators have displayed such amazing prolific blogging skills. Check your posts! I left comments.) and I am attempting to figure out the best way to sum up the psat several weeks. I could either blather on about various things til long after I and you, dear reader, get bored. But I'd rather give poignant highlights. Sorry to dissappoint; I'm saving all my bad writing for Dr. Beiting's history class this coming semester. Haha. At least Sean won't be in the class to point out my inabilities by his overly intelligent existence.

Highlights
Shannon & Meghan time with various topics of discussion and the creation of a new nickname for one Shannon: Shannon Nobuttvic. Shannon and I snickered over our salads for an exuberantly long time at Chipotle. Spending more time with Moses Usher though as Shannon observed he will probably suggest other topics of discussion next time. What can we say? We're curious about some of these mysteries of life.
Discovery of a new great movie: Good Bye, Lenin. Check it out espesically if you've ever been to Berlin. (Ever been, Mel? I forget.)
Falling asleep while talking to Dustin on the phone (sort of), then waking up next morning to find that I must have chucked the phone across the room in my sleep. Whoops. Also discovered that Dustin is going to the same Christian Missionary Alliance college that my mother boarded at in high school.
Seeing Elizabeth all growed up. She's a delight. And much smarter than I was at seventeen.
Finding that the occasion of a former castmate unhooking my bra while walking through a crowd of audience members is not only startling it is highly unpleasant. I have got to learn how to survive theater and what passes for humor therein.
In Midsummer there is one scene where Theseus says the line "It is almost fairytime" during which I would appear from backstage and fetch a golden branch as unobtrusively as possible. During the last show, as I a little girl squealed, "Look! Fairy time!" and made my night.
Enjoying the trip of Monica, Mel and Brigid. It was so great to see the girls and it made me feel so great that they were willing to make the trip down to see the crowning point of my summer. And my mom loved them which was cute.
Unfortunately, when Monica woke me up to get the address as they left Ann Arbor in the morning she forgot who utterly incoherent I am when first awake. I claim no responsilbility for anything that I say or do for the first five minutes into awake-ness. Anyway, when she asked for my address for their directions I gave her the address of Stan Hywet, where the play was, which is about 45 minutes south of my house. I have no explanation as to why, when I heard "your address" I would give out Stan Hywet's. Anyway, when I, appalled, realized my mistake, I dashed down to meet them

So that's been some random things of summer. Oh goodess! And my brother is getting married tomorrow! It's amazing and weird. I'm really excited for him and his fiancee (who is simply adorable) because they both seem so happy. But still...he's less than two years older than me...it's unsettling. My mom is saying, "Now, when it's your turn..." Gah!

Wow, I was trying to be brief and already this is a long email. I must sleep.

Milo, glad to see you are back at posting. I'm super happy your summer is going well. Btw, Goodbye Lenin is awesome. I saw it last fall semester. Looking forward to seeing you before I chuck myself over to Europe!
