My feet are apparently broken pretty badly and it may be too late to fix with surgury. Now much of this is admittedly my fault for putting off the x-ray for 10 days after the break, but the additional three weeks was all the hospital's fault for losing the x-rays. That's right. The hospital wished to display its reliability by misplacing an x-ray of my broken foot. Wonderful, yes? I'm thrilled that they are so on top of things that they noticed the seriousness of the break and made sure that I was taken care of so very promptly. So, I'm cranky about that.
On the bright side, Kate Bryan just visited as she was passing through Ohio from her tour with Christian rock festivals, so that was great to have a little reunion of our room 35 sisterhood from freshman year. If only we could track down Katerina and Mara...
I'm babysitting right now, and so far I've had to wrestle scissors, a yellow pill (no idea what it is), my cell phone, and my camera from the two year old terror to make sure he does not inflict serious damage to himself or others. Amazing that just moments ago he was amusing himself by lying on the couch cushions snuggled under my new throw. I think I'd better take him to the park to wear him down some more. I only hope that my future children will be amused by less potentially lethal things.
